Design and implementation of air conditioning engineering plans

Design of Central Air Conditioning and Duct Layout Plans

When designing MEP plans for air conditioning and electrical points, it is essential to organize the central air conditioning system and both natural and mechanical ventilation ducts. Along with these systems and devices, the best insulation materials are needed.

Three types of insulation are used in air conditioning work: internal insulation, external insulation, and sound insulation. As for the air ducts, they are:

Air Ducts (Duct): There are many materials used in the manufacturing of air ducts, but the best type recommended is Japanese Nippon Steel.

Air Grills Diffusers: Care is also taken in air diffusers to ensure the presence of a damper, which is a key for controlling the amount of air.

Cladding: It is a metal material used to cover the protruding parts of the machine and those entering the building’s components. It should have a thickness of 4 to 6 mm.

Ensuring the quality of the fabric placed between the machine and the duct entering the building walls to minimize the transfer of vibrations between the machine and the duct.

Control and distribution panels in central air conditioning systems are included in MEP plans for air conditioning and electrical points, containing the best distribution for central air conditioning systems, which consist of several units, including:

– Water Chillers (Cooling Units)
– Air Handling Unit (AHU)
– Duct System for air distribution
– Air Blower & Diffuser
